Barn Quilt Painting led by Debra Johnson
Thursday, June 21 5:30-8:30
Learn to paint your own variation of the Ohio Star Barn Quilt Pattern on a wood panel. Participants will learn about the history of barn quilts and be guided through the process of painting their own barn quilt on wood. All supplies are provided.
This class is ideal for quilters, painters, and/or those looking to try something new while meeting new friends.
What Are Barn Quilts?
The majority of barn quilts are comprised of simple geometric shapes, like squares, rectangles, and triangles. They usually are painted in solid colors, though every now and then, you’ll come across one that has been painted to look like fabric.
The simplicity in shape and the vibrancy of solid colors make these blocks easily seen from afar.
