Over the past five years the Museum has taken the show on the road. It's our own version of Antiques Road Show\, visiting Glencoe\, Winsted\, Biscay\, Silver Lake\, and Stewart. Over the next few years we hope to visit every town in McLeod County. This year\, we are bringing it back to the Museum's facilities in Hutchinson. \n\n The appraisal program is narrated by auctioneer Kathy Krone. Kathy not only aids in appraising items\, but picks out key items of value and/or interest and explains what makes the item valuable\, rare\, or unique. Kathy has many years of experience and has seen just about everything walk through her auction house doors. Kathy will be joined by appraisers Lynn Buck\, Guste Blad\, and Glen Kashuba. Lynn lives in Hutchinson\, MN and specializes in quilts\, textiles\, china\, glass\, and flatware. Guste\, who resides in Hector\, MN\, focuses on antique toys\, metal signs\, agricultural tools and manufacturing implements. Our newest appraiser\, Glen Kashuba\, currently runs Wild Prairie Coin and Collectibles in Hutchinson\, MN. Glen's expertise covers U.S. and foreign coins and tokens\, sports memorabilia\, movie posters\, and vintage military items. Although our appraisers deal in antiques\, auctions\, and collectables\, not all items can always be evaluated the day of the auction\, as they are not experts in all areas. If your items do not fit into one of the categories listed above\, just give us a call or send us an e-mail and we will let you know if your item or items can be appraised at the event.\n\n An appraisal costs just $7 per item. You can choose to have the item shown as a part of the program\, or evaluated privately. If you have more than one item\, you can save money with three items costing just $15. Even if you don't have an item\, this program is a fun and educational way to learn more about antiques. Admission is just $2 for adults\; children under the age of 12 are free.
