DESCRIPTION:In an effort to help Hutchinson become a bicycle friendly community\, Michelle Breidenbach with Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota and Jamie Risner with Outdoor Motion Bike Shop are offering a Traffic Skills 101 class! Traffic Skills 101 is a League of American Bicyclists class that teaches cyclists the proven techniques they need to ride safely and legally in traffic or on the trail. The class covers bicycle safety checks\, fixing a flat\, on-bike skills and crash avoidance techniques and includes a student manual. This fast-paced\, nine-hour\, course presents the tools you need via a half-classroom\, and half on-bike experience to give you a full understanding and confidence in bicycling. It is important to teach both cyclists and motorists how to coexist on the road so that everyone has the opportunity to be safe. By participating in this class you can help us educate others on bicycle safety by being a great example. If you sign up for this class you are required to be there on both days. The cost of your class includes a manual\, and refreshments.
