We all have a skill to share and\, if we learned anything from our successful We Are What We Make exhibit\, Hutchinson is filled with talented and creative makers.\n\n \n\nBasket Weaving Led by Hanna Jacobsen\n\nThursday\, July 12th\n\n7:00-9:00pm\n\n$40 Not Yet A Member\n\n$30 Member Rate\n\n\n\nLearn to create your own unique hand-woven basket. Participants will be guided through weaving pliable willow reeds . All supplies are provided.\n\nClass instructor\, Hanna Jacobsen\, is a Minnesota Master Naturalist and outdoor enthusiast.\n\nThis class is perfect for textile lovers\, those who like to work with their hands\, and/or anyone looking for a new experience while making friends. \n\n \n\nREGISTER\n\n \n\nWhat Is Basketry?\n\nBasketry is made from a variety of fibrous or pliable materials anything that will bend and form a shape. While basket weaving is one of the widest spread crafts in the history of human civilization. Because natural materials like wood and grass decay naturally and constantly it is impossible to date basketry properly.
