18th Annual Ridgewater Community Health Fair & Healthcare Job Fair

Discover the latest health trends, learn more about tried-and-true healthy choices for adults and children, or explore potential careers at the 2015 Annual Ridgewater College Community Health Fair and Healthcare Job Fair set for Tuesday, March 31 in Hutchinson. This free event, which runs 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., is targeted at regional community members, students and staff. Ridgewater Health Fair Coordinator Tim Olson is proud that this year, the fair will offer new exhibitors for parents. We are very excited that our Early Childhood program students will complement our nursing students by having several exhibits as well, Olson said. The Early Childhood college students will target health, safety and nutrition for children with specific booths about safe environments, nutritional guidelines, choosing quality child care, assessing children's health, and food safety for young children. Health fair exhibitors, typically totaling about 30-45, offer hands-on explorations, interactive learning, or samples. Popular exhibits have included proactive health information, massage therapy, natural foods, fitness clubs, diet and nutrition, nutritional supplements, weight loss programs, chiropractic health, dental or optometrist health, and area healthcare and outreach services.
