2009 Hutchinson Jaycees 'Run By the River 8k,5k,1mile kids run'

RUN BY THE RIVER Saturday, June 20, 2009 8K Run - 1 Mile Kids Run ? 5K Fun and Fitness Walk/Run Course: Accurate, flat and fast, along the scenic Crow River on the Luce Line Trail and throughout Hutchinson. Awards: An awards ceremony will be held after the 8K. Please attend to receive your award. Participants of all events will receive a short-sleeved t-shirt. Refreshments and fruit are also provided at the finish line. 1 Mile Kids Run: Medals to the top 2 boys and girls in each age division. 8 and under, 9-10, 11-12. 8K Run: Top male and female will receive trophies. Medals to the top 2 men and women in each age division. 17 and under, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50 and over. Proceeds Benefit The Hutchinson Area Foundation for Health Care Scholarship Program: The Hutchinson Area Foundation for Health Care Scholarship Program awards scholarships for students going into a health care field. Seven Scholarships are awarded annually to five High School seniors, an employee?s child and a Ridgewater College student. These $500 scholarships allow students to work towards a degree in any health care related field. We are proud to be able to keep this program growing and working toward a healthier community. Money raised through this River Run / Fun and Fitness Walk will go directly to the scholarship program.
