Richard Obershaw, MSW, LICSW, ACSW, is the Founder and Director of the Grief Center in Lakeville, MN.  He has specialized in grief therapy for the past forty years. He is the author of the books “Cry Until You Laugh, Holiday Grief,” and of the Parents Magazine Filmstrip Series “The Child and the Crisis of Death.” 

Richard lectures nationally and internationally to professional and lay groups on the issues of grief.  He has been called “a serious humorist” because he enhances his presentations with the use of humor. Richard believes we must laugh in order to learn.
