David Hamlow Exhibit
Speculative Equivalent is a reference to Carl Andre’s, Equivalent VIII and the Freemason concept of the Speculative Builder – a mason building something spiritual rather than physical.
David Hamlow uses the residue of his personal consumption (plastic and cardboard boxes) to consider personal narratives and the ways we connect to one another through the spirit of everyday human endeavors.
