The Museum would like to invite you and your family to our Art Show and Auction Fundraiser. This is a completely new program and fundraiser that combines the Museum’s unique collections of History and Art.
Each year the Museum will ask citizens from one of McLeod County’s nine towns to do an artwork piece that depicts an historical site in their community. We are starting with Hutchinson and will pick a new McLeod County town each year. Each artist that donates artwork, can decide what subject and medium they will work in. The only restrictions are it must fit on an 81/2 by 11 sheet, the citizens can not be professional artists, and they have to be willing to donate the artwork for charity. The Museum will frame each piece and display them at the Museum a week before the Auction, giving you the chance to view and decide which creation you want to bid on the afternoon of the auction.
In addition to our one of a kind Historical Hutchinson Artwork, the Museum, along with our generous local businesses, have put together a huge assortment of unique Silent Auction items that will be on display at the Museum a week before the event. Bids on these items can be made until 4 P M the afternoon of the program. Below is a list of our brave local artists who will be submitting work, along with our Silent Auction items and generous Business Donors.
