The son of a Midwestern auctioneer, Joshua Wilichowski was exposed to the intimate relationships people form with the objects around them at a very early age. His newest research investigates connections between gender, societal norms, and transference.
Josh graduated from the University of Wisconsin –Madison with his Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1998. In 2004, Wilichowski returned to Madison to earn both his Master of Arts and Master of Fine Arts with an emphasis in sculpture and drawing in 2006 and 2007 respectively. He maintains an active studio practice, and his work has been exhibited locally, nationally, and internationally. He currently lives and works in Stillwater, MN.
