Have you ever come across something in nature and wondered what it was called? Having a naturalist along would be ideal, but that’s not always possible. Fortunately, the iNaturalist citizen science app can help you identify what you’re seeing with a simple photo. It also provides valuable data to research scientists, helping refine species range maps and support other studies.
We’ll also discuss precautions for protecting sensitive species and when other reporting programs may be a better option. Join Master Naturalist Jon—an iNaturalist program ambassador—for an evening of learning how to use this powerful, free tool and explore related topics.
