(Nic was diagnosed with Acute Biphenotypic Leukemia on May 31, 2009 - shortly after he graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in BioChemistry. He spent 64 days at the U of M Medical center with complications of this disease, had a pneumenctomy (lung removal) in October, then spent from December 23 - Mid Feb receiving additional rounds of chemotherapy to put his leukemia back in remission. He received a stem cell transplant on March 1, 2010 from his brother Mitch who was a perfect genetic match. Both boys are doing well.)
