Local organic vegetable and fruit farmers, Laura Frerichs and Irene Genelin, will take participants through the basics of organic vegetable gardening in your yard, community garden plot, or in pots.  The topics covered include site selection, soil preparation, fertilizers and compost, good crops and varieties to try in your garden, mulching, organic pest control, and much more.
