Plate to Garden Fundraiser

The City’s Creekside Soil’s Compost It Right, the Minnesota Composting Council, and the Heart of Minnesota Animal Shelter are teaming up for a tail-wagging fundraiser to properly kick off International Compost Awareness Week.

Stop by the Hutchinson Event Center Parking Lot on Saturday, May 4th from 10am to 2pm to purchase your bags of fresh, locally processed compost to give your garden a leg up this spring! Come learn all the benefits of compost and how/why the City collects and processes organic waste, all proceeds will support the Heart of Minnesota Animal Shelter, a passionate organization devoted to the care of animals in need. Kids can “play in the dirt” by filling their own bag and spin the prize wheel! You won’t want to miss it!
