Ridgewater College Community Health Fair & Healthcare Job Fair
The 11th Annual Ridgewater College Community Health Fair kicks off on Tuesday, April 1st in the Hutchinson Campus commons. From 10 am - 1 pm, community members are invited to join students and staff to check out the free health fair. “Our theme again is ‘Healthy Bodies Make Healthy Minds’,” said Naomi Youngren, Ridgewater College health fair coordinator. “It just makes sense.” The Community Health Fair has been growing each year and traditionally includes about 30 exhibitors. “It’s a great opportunity to learn about ways to improve the health and well-being of yourself and your family, and have fun doing it,” Youngren said. Many exhibitors offer hands-on explorations, interactive learning, or samples. Health Fair participants will experience a wide variety of traditional and alternative services, agencies and products, and be eligible for a prize drawings.
New this year is the addition of the Healthcare Job Fair, which will be held in conjunction with the Community Health Fair. We feel these two events offered together will provide a great way for the Hutchinson and Ridgewater communities to become more acquainted with the healthcare services and opportunities available in Hutchinson and surrounding area. The addition of the Healthcare Job Fair will also be a great opportunity for area healthcare providers to make contact with current and soon-to-graduate healthcare students, as well as community members looking for employment in the healthcare field.
