Everyone in McLeod County knows the name Les C. Kouba, and with the expansive and varied collection of art pieces we hold at the Museum, rightfully so! But the Museum has many other artistic pieces done by McLeod County citizens that are just as varied and almost as numerous. Water colors by Nellie Pendergast depicting dancing forest animals, vaudeville and circus advertisements by Jake Jacobson, and large oil, charcoal, and chalk paintings of McLeod County's forefathers and mothers done by famous and unknown artists.
As we share these rarely seen artist treasures, we ask that you also bring an artwork piece of your own. We will share the story of each of the artwork pieces in our collection and hope to hear your artwork's story as well.
