"Pottery" with Tom Wirt
The museum has a small, but varied collection of pottery that ranges from early storage crocks to finer massed produced pieces. All of which will be on disply for the program. Some more recognizable brands include Red Wing, Watts ware, Stangl pottery, and Fiesta ware.
The museum is lucky to have local Clay Coyote Pottery Gallery owner, Tom Wirt, who will be leading us through the varied and colorful world of pottery. Mr. Wirt will discuss select pieces from the Museum's collection, as well as his own pieces that are featured in his Hutchinson Gallery and workshop.
Please bring along one of your own pottery pieces to share with the group and tell a little about its history or learn more about your pottery while your there!
