Spring Tree and Shrub Auction

Stop by Kahnke Brothers Tree Farm on May 4th for our annual, Spring Tree and Shrub Auction.  We open at 8:00 AM, so you can see what is available before the bidding starts at 9:30 AM.  Also, in our retail sales area, we will have some "One-Day Only" specials.  We are open for regular business on auction day from 8:00 AM until 3:00 PM, for those who prefer to shop at their own pace.  

Fahey Sales conducts our auctions.  Informational handouts on the items to be sold will be available at the Fahey Sales trailer on the day of the auction.  Loading services are available on auction day and during set times thereafter, to be announced by the auctioneer.  Attendees bid against each other competitively.  Trees are arranged in lots of four and varieties are alternated.  This allows both small and large volume buyers the opportunity to bid.  Shrubs are arranged in lots of 6-10.  Winning bidders can purchase as few or as many plants as they like from a given lot at the established price.  Runners up have the opportunity to take remaining plants at the set price.  Items that are unsold go up for bid again.  There are no minimums or reserves.  The Glencoe Lions will have hotdogs, coffee and donuts available for our visitors.  There may also be some other, Minnesota-Made Market vendors with homemade/homegrown products for sale.
