Public Outreach and Education Coordinator

The City of Hutchinson is seeking applicants to fill a Full Time Public Outreach and Education Coordinator position at Creekside Soils.  This position services as the resource for the City’s curbside organic program providing environmental outreach by social media, interviews, brochures, tours and presentations.   Compiles data, maintains records and prepares reports, works to prepare/secure grants.  Inspects incoming loads of organics, engages in waste diversion resources/networking as well as assists businesses/schools with implementing sustainable practices.  Requires MN driver’s license, 1-year post-secondary training and 2-years of experience, ability to work independently, mathematical aptitude and excellent customer service skills/experience.  Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Environmental Science and/or Resource Management desired.  40 hrs/wk.  Some nights/weekend and travel required to facilitate public outreach.  Minimum pay rate: $23.53/hour.  Apply by Wednesday, February 15, 2023.  For full description and required application, visit www.hutchinsonmn.gov or at City Center, 111 Hassan St SE, Hutchinson, MN  55350  Tel: 320-234-5608, E-mail: snelson@hutchinsonmn.gov.
