Job Description
As the McLeod Food Shelf (MFS) Mobile Outreach Program Manager, the primary responsibility is to facilitate the new Mobile Outreach Program. Facilitation includes driving the Mobile Outreach vehicle as well as coordination & implementation of programming, including mobile grocery distribution. This position is part-time; with up to 35 hours scheduled every two weeks. Pre-set distribution schedule with room for flexibility and program growth.
Responsibilities
- Represent McLeod Emergency Food Shelf (MEFS) in a professional manner while providing safe transportation and dignified distribution of groceries
- Organize and assist with vehicle prep and scheduled maintenance (fuel, oil changes, etc.) Manage inventory and load/stock Outreach vehicle for community-based distribution
- Adhere to appropriate food safety standards for safe food distribution
- Promote and adhere to civil rights standards including fairness, equality, and elimination of food access barriers
- Organize food in the vehicle for neat and orderly client access
- Organize routes for most efficient and effective travel and timeliness
- Complete and maintain intake & distribution paperwork and data entry
Qualifications
- Preferred Education: High school diploma or equivalent GED
- Valid Class D driver's license and clean driving record
- Experience with proper food safety and handling
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Computer & smartphone literacy
- Experience working with and managing volunteers
- Ability to keep schedule in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to problem solve and adapt to changes
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Salary: $11.00 to $13.00 /hour
