Historic Hutchinson invites the community to experience a rare opportunity to step inside one of Hutchinson’s most significant architectural treasures during its first-ever historic house tour fundraiser! This special event showcases the beautifully restored Merton S. Goodnow House at 446 Main Street South in Hutchinson, MN a Prairie Style home designed by renowned architects Purcell and Elmslie, built in 1913. Notably, this residence is the only private home in McLeod County listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Visitors will be guided through the home by Richard Kronick, Architectural Historian, who will highlight the defining features of Prairie architecture and explain the historical and cultural importance of the Goodnow House. Tours will be held Friday, April 24th & Saturday, April 25th.
