Senior Engineering Specialist

The City of Hutchinson seeks applicants to fill a Senior Engineering Specialist position.  Duties include: performing tasks related to construction projects such as serving as lead engineering field representative, performing tasks related to surveying/field staking, drafting/designing, track and implement project work related to environmental and regulatory requirements, and other duties assigned.  Requires associate degree in engineering technology or related, plus 5 years of related experience, and maintains state certifications to provide inspection services for bituminous street, grading and base, concrete field, bridge inspection, MnDOT testing certification, erosion control certification and possibly others.  Proficiency on MS Office and AutoCad.  Salary range $33.679/hour to $50.519/hour depending on qualifications.  The city provides a competitive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, flex spending plan, Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF), generous paid leave policies, including vacation, sick, ESST, and 11 paid holidays, free Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and MN Public Employers Retirement Association (PERA) for qualified employees.  Additional details about these programs are available by contacting us at 320.234.5608.  Required application and job description available at City Center, 111 Hassan St SE, Hutchinson, MN 55350.  www.hutchinsonmn.gov, snelson@hutchinsonmn.gov.  Apply by Friday, January 31, 2025.
