Goebel Fixture Company is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to support our financial operations and contribute to the continued success of our organization. The Details

· Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

· Oversee the general ledger, including its structure and maintenance, ensuring accurate execution of allocations and accruals, and consistency of journal entries.

· Analyze financial statements, investigate significant variances, and report findings to management.

· Collaborate with the external accounting firm to facilitate the year-end close process, including preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation.

· Manage and lead the job costing and analysis process, working cross-functionally to collect and validate financial data from various departments.

· Prepare and submit filings for Sales and Use Tax, including refund requests and payment processing.

· Manage the Accounts Receivable function, including preparation and submission of AIA (Application for Payment) invoices.

· Oversee inventory accounting, including both recurring and non-recurring accruals, reconciliations, and analysis.

· Lead the financial close process at month-end, quarter-end, and year-end, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

· Handle multiple accounting projects simultaneously with a high degree of precision and attention to detail.

· Prepare and maintain monthly account reconciliations for key balance sheet and income statement accounts.

· Communicate professionally and effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders.

· Support the President/CEO with ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and special projects as assigned.

· Foster cross-functional collaboration to streamline accounting processes and improve financial workflows.

The Skills & Experience

· Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in general accounting, tax accounting, or financial reporting.

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.

· Strong proficiency in ERP accounting systems; experience with Global Shop Solutions is a plus.

· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and a strong aptitude for financial modeling and spreadsheet analysis.

· Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and standard accounting processes.

· In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial principles, and reporting practices.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

· Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
